Secret wish are an electronic duo from Belgium. Heidi Pintens sings and Kurt Vervaet does all the other bits and sings as well. They jam pop and dance music together in order to put a smile on your face get you up and dancing. Its pure bubblegum, dancey stuff.

Before Kurt was playing as a DJ on company party’s, weddings, …. And all kinda other party’s. He never wanted only to be a DJ, that’s why he wanted to make his own productions and he started searching for the right vocals. That’s how Kurt found Heidi after searching for many months. Since then Heidi is part of “Secret Wish”. She already started with singing from since she was 8 years old. Before “Secret Wish” she was part of some cover bands and other groups.

The Roads moved to Berlin beginning of March 2009. They are an Indie-Rock-Pop Band. With three writers in the band and three main vocals, they have crafted a repertoire full of passion, energy and catchy melodies. In fact, all 5 members of the band sing!

The lead vocals evoke their Britpop influences but with an identity of their own, while the rest of the band create infectious harmonies. The fusion of piano and guitar adds another layer of melodies to their music and gives their music a lot of variety. THE ROADS album and concerts range from dance inducing rockers to heartfelt ballads, and leave the listener emotionally drained and wanting more!!! If you don’t make it to THE ROADS party, you will complain to your kids that you missed it!!

It’s Time… 2009 and the first release of the year from Kandystand.
On the 9th February, Kandystand release their new single ‘Love Invasion’,
turning up the heat in time for Valentines Day!

The single is a cover of the rare release by Chicago’s own ‘Targa ft Shawn Christopher’, which was originally featured on the Westside Records compilation ‘Jackmaster 2’ back in 1988. It’s one of DJ Alodis’ favorite all time house tracks, and after being re-inspired by the 20 years of house seminar featuring Kevin Saunderson at the Amsterdam Dance Event in October 2008, DJ Alodis revisited his original house collection. Love Invasion made a re-appearance on his decks, and a swift entrance into his studio for a remake.

Kandystand vocalist Katy ‘D’ said ‘As soon as I heard this track, I knew it was a classic and that we just had to get this record out, its full of passion, energy, and its brilliant that we could get it out in time for valentines – it’s time for a li’l loving everywhere’

A remix competition was held in association with DMCWorld.com, and 3 remixes made it to the final release. The release features mixes by Hungarian producers DJ Molek & Adams-X, Lawrence DJ from Italy, and Olivier Guy, a French producer currently living in the UK. DJ Alodis also put together a radio and extended ‘Big Wheels’ remix, bringing the total mixes on the release to six!

Nation In Blue was officially started in september 2005.

However, the story actually began in june of that year, when Håkan Hannu from Sweden, who was the brain behind
“C H Project” and “Blue Star Project”, was introduced to Georgiana Lupescu from Romania.

Håkan was at the time, disillusioned with the music industry and was actually about to end his career as a composer and producer. While Georgiana was (and still is), the composer and lyricist for a group of talented children in Romania which is called “Floare De Colt” (=Edelweiss), but she had always had a dream of singing in her own right for as long as she could remember. Immediatley hitting it off, and finding much common ground both personally and in their music, they decided to form a new musical partnership.

The missing link now, was that they needed a lyric writer for this collaboration, and they found one in Stefan Zadorozny, who recieved the first demo track in his inbox and 15 minutes later had written and emailed back a full lyric for the first song of “Nation In Blue”.

This song was called, “Have You Got What It Takes”.

At the age of 11, Ricardo and Evaldo both merged their talents and their childhood hobbies together. They both did many things together such as, going to school, playing sports, ride bikes, and many other activities that 11 year olds would do but most of their times spent together, were down in Evaldo’s basement where he had a setup of a kids drum set and an old the infamous fan organ. They both banged and played on them pretending that they were rock stars. After numerous of times spent down in the basement, one night, a question popped in Ricardo’s mind to call his cousin Evaldo with the idea of taking their child’s play to a more serious step. Ricardo then made the call to Evaldo asking him if he wanted to make a band without the expectation of Ricardo’s question Evaldo was thrown off but, at the same time he put his thoughts to mind and of course Evaldo said yes. Until this very day, Ricardo still questions Evaldo with another question… (What was there to think about?).

Stepping into their more serious step with the help of their parents and the very little money that they had, they purchased musical instruments to start building their little band. A small mic, amplifier, and a keyboard (Casio Tone) was enough for the time being. At that time, they put their normal childhood activities aside and concentrated on practicing music. They performed their first ever little show and many others followed. People were then calling them “The Two Kids”. After being well known locally, by then they realized that they had to convince the people with a different name instead of being called “The Two Kids”. In April of 1987 while taking a walk, Ricardo and Evaldo were both brainstorming on what they should be called. After so many names being thought of, only one clicked and that was “Young Fire”.

Young Fire started to perform more and more shows and expanding their knowledge of music in becoming professional musicians. Throughout the years, Young Fire grew more rapidly with fame and fortune, and of course that came with a heavy price tag of criticism in being told that two kids could never make it but criticism to Young Fire was like adding fuel to their fire! Many people came along wanting to be part of the fire, but none of them could fit and communicate as well as Ricardo and Evaldo could and that is what makes this fire burn till this present day.

Being brought up listening to Eurodance/ Euro-pop/ Italo disco and as well as being born in Europe, Young Fire was inspired by European artists such as Modern Talking, ABBA, Bad Boys Blue, Lime, FR David, Secret Service, Fancy, Ken Laszlo, Sandra, Joy, Andy Borg, DJ Quinto Rocco, also Leandro & Leonardo, and The Bee Gees whom all inspired “Young Fire” to write music.

Today Young Fire writes, produces, composes, and arranges music for them and artists who they produce today with their graduated knowledge of recording engineers. Until this very day, Young Fire is still taking steps to higher levels, accomplishing these one by one, and burning throughout them all!

With a background as varied as her hit music, Leana (a.k.a. The Swedish Diva) has a story that would surprise many. From her native Sweden to adopted hometown of Los Angeles, Leana’s history of strength and savvy extends from the business world to the entertainment industry and beyond.

Born in the small fishing village of Stromstad, Sweden, Leana grew to call the country’s sophisticated metropolis of Stockholm home in her teenage years. It was at this time that the tall, stunning blonde launched a career as a catalog and high fashion model. Though her modeling days were highly successful, Leana began to ponder the idea of re-creating herself as a business woman.

Leana formed Absolute Court Reporting with only one employee to her name. During the decade she spent as Absolute’s President, Leana oversaw all aspects of business and organization development, expanding the company exponentially from a tiny business of two to a bustling company with 40 employees.

In 1998, Leana made the life-altering choice to begin her first foray into the music business. Leana began moonlighting with a live nightclub revue, The Swedish Diva Show, which she performed at local Los Angeles staples Luna Park and Club Lunaria. The Swedish Diva Show became a weekly standing room only event and earned accolades from the press, including Los Angeles Magazine, who wrote that Leana “redefine[d] the word ‘Diva’. When discussing her inspiration for The Swedish Diva Show, Leana comments that growing up in Sweden, one dance band reigned supreme locally and throughout the world: “musically, when you grow up [in Sweden], you can’t help but be completely influenced by ABBA, and my producers love to tease me that I have spent my musical life channeling ABBA.”

Besides bringing in kudos from fans worldwide, the live show also put the spotlight on Leana’s talent as a solo artist, and won her the attention of Michael Lloyd, an accomplished producer with over 100 platinum albums to his credit, including classics by Barry Manilow and the acclaimed Dirty Dancing soundtrack. Michael was the first producer to approach Leana about working together in the studio, and their collaboration
eventually became the impetus that led Leana to record her first album, Faith in Myself in 2003. “The album title was really about me developing the confidence in myself to become a recording artist….” says Leana. Faith in Myself included Leana’s breakout single, Dance With A Stranger. The single, a collaboration between Leana and pop super-producer Peter Rafelson, was an instant hit that eventually peaked as a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Dance chart and was nominated for Best HiNRG/Euro Track at the 2006 International Dance Awards. The same year that Leana began recording Faith in Myself, her 10 year tenure as the President of Absolute Court Reporting came to a close. Her business-savvy and attention to detail paid off when she sold her expanded business to Paulson Court Reporting in 2003.

Leana began recording her second album, Feel Me, in 2006. In early 2007, she released Embrace Me, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Break Out Chart, soon becoming the #1 most added pick on the DJ Times National Chart. Embrace Me quickly scaled the Billboard Dance Chart as well, eventually landing at #7 in April, 2007. In late April, 2007, the single peaked at #1 on FMQB. Feel Me is set for release in mid-October, 2007, and will include remixes by Dave Audé and British team Soul Seekerz. Feel Me’s advance release, a rhythmic cover of the 80’s super-hit I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight entered with a bang at #2 on the Billboard Break Out Chart in May, 2007. The song’s pulsating, seductive rhythms are already bringing club crowds to their feet and makingwaves among dance-pop fans and DJ’s world-wide.

Now settled in Santa Monica, California, Leana formed Swedish Diva Records, the record label that manages and distributes her albums in the United States. Leana says that her decision to create her own label was a result of her take-charge attitude; “…most record labels are only interested in signing 20 year old girls. I wanted to show what I was capable of both in music and business, and Swedish
Diva does just that.” Leana looks forward to signing other dance artists to Swedish Diva in the coming years. If her rapid-fire ascent is any indication, we can expect much more success in the future for this Swedish Diva.

Kool De Sac (aka Drew Todd) – Bio

Drew is a multi-faceted, talented artist of considerable musical sensibilities. Not being content with confining himself to defined roles in the musical process, he is an active participant along each elaborate step. Drew’s musical resume could be read: “songwriter/producer/remixer/programmer/engineer/arranger/vocalist/preformer”.

Drew has spent most of his life honing his talents & using themto vent his personal experiences as well as to sate his creative needs. His determination, focus & desire to constantly fine tune his talents have taken him from, trudging through the far corners of the London pub & club scene, where he has constantly recieved positive feedback, to moving into a more stable career as a respected and successfull dance & pop writer/producer/remixer working from his self built London studio.

The eclected nature of his musical tastes & talent have landed Drew various musical projects where he has worn the cap of both producer & songwriter. He has achieved sucess as one half of the commercial Euro-Dance production/remix duo “North On 41″ scoring serveral license deals.

Drew’s ‘Hurley & Todd’ dance production collaboration, “Sunstorm” using Elton John’s “Song For A Guy” piano sample was a Top 40 hit in the UK singles charts & along with “Crazy World” & “Fly Away”, has featured on several of Telstar’s EUPHORIA & BREAKDOWN compilations.

Drew, aka “Kool De Sac”, has also focussed on his tight contemporary pop & dance productions & strong song-writing sensitivities as well & has also remixed mainstream artists. His track “Let It Go!” was featured in the movie; “National Lampoons Van Wilder” wich has generated an enormous interest. His succesfull remix credits include; Steps, Liberty X, Ian Van Dahl, H & Claire etc. Drew has co-written with Peter Cunnah (D:Ream).

Drew also writes/produces sound beds for film/video projects as well as being a singer/songwriter.
