Technical problems
Hi all ,
I’m sure you’ll noticed that DanceRadio FreestyleFM is offline at the moment.
Unfortuantly one of the stations hard-drives decided to burn out.
At the moment we replaced the drive , and restoring everything from backup’s.
We hope to be back online a.s.a.p.

Kandystand
Today we recieved a promo-cd from Kandystand , called “Watch Out Here I Come”.
The people behind Kandystand are Alodis , Katy D and Pants , better know as Team Hayward Media.
Since the early 80’s Alodis has been at the forefront of electronic music production.
From the early days of Chicago House, through the Hi-NRG and Techno of the 90’s
to the modern day dance explosion, these influences have come togetherin this latest
audio extravaganza - Kandystand.
Fronting Kandystand, curvaceous Katy D started her musical journeythrough her
radio shows broadcast across Europe. After getting hooked on the Hi-NRG dance sounds
played on her shows, a chance meeting with Alodis meant her path was set.
It was straight into the studio and here it is - Kandystand’s first album!
Every good musical mix needs it’s Visual DJ. With his artistic talentand flair,
and years of experience in graphic design, video and multimedia, Pants brings to life
in visual form, the world and music of Kandystand.

Today we recieved a whole Promo-CD from KOOL de SAC in our mailbox.
Kool De Sac (aka Drew Todd) - Bio
Drew is a multi-faceted, talented artist of considerable musical sensibilities. Not being content with confining himself to defined roles in the musical process, he is an active participant along each elaborate step. Drew’s musical resume could be read: “songwriter/producer/remixer/programmer/engineer/arranger/vocalist/preformer”.

Today we recieved not 1 , not 2 , but even 3 Demo’s / Promo’s !
First we recieved “Mario Torchio - Freak Arena“.
Utopia Planitia Records was founded in 2008 by initiative of Mario Torchio, Dj and Producer.
The Utopia Planitia releases comprise various ranges of music styles such as Dance, Electro, House, Funk and Pop. The Artist is a well known Italian Dj, but first of all, he’s a musician with uncommon skills. He studied musicology at Milan National University where he received a full score degree, furthermore his passion of sound engineering brought him to study this subject at Sae Institute in Milan where he got a diploma as a Sound Engineer. Recently he received a second Bachelor (Honours) in Recording Arts at the same college. He also developed a big interest in the study of music composition (classical and arrangements). He plays guitar (from metal to jazz) and piano. Mario Torchio’s music is quite heterogeneous; there are direct influences from rock, classic, electro and funky styles. A magic blend which this artist is used to carrying with him during his live dj ! sessions across the world…

E-Jackal-8
A couple of days ago E-Jackal-8 did send us their newest CD-single “I Can’t Take It Anymore”.
E-Jackal-8 is a new Belgium dancegroup formed by Geert (producer) and Liesje (vocals).
Their style is a bit 90’s dance, and very Hi-NRG according to E-Jackal-8 themselves.
If you are curious about this new track, we’re added it to our playlist, but of course you can also
simply request it here, straight from our music library.

After years of being a mostly static website, the official website has changed into a more dynamic one. With the update to using Wordpress as our content management system we are striving to become a more interactive webradio station. Not only will you - the listener - be able to listen to and request your favorite songs - now you will also be able to keep informed about new events. Next to that artists & DJ’s will get a chance to feature their music or DJ set on DanceRadio FreestyleFM!
